Job description

Description
Are you ready to take the next step in your Human Resources career?
We're looking for an organized, approachable, and people-focused Human Resources Assistant to join our team! This is a great opportunity for someone who already has a foundation in HR and is ready to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of Human Resources.
As a Human Resources Assistant, you'll be an important part of the employee experience-from recruiting and welcoming new employees to supporting payroll, benefits, employee engagement, and day-to-day HR needs. If you enjoy helping people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in getting the details right, we'd love to meet you!
Schedule & Flexibility
We believe every employee deserves access to HR regardless of which shift they work. This role bridges the gap between our day and evening operations, spending most of the day supporting our daytime teams before providing HR coverage for our second-shift employees during the last few hours of the workday.
We're open to creating a schedule that works for the right candidate, including options such as:
  • Four 10-hour days (Monday-Thursday with every Friday off)
  • Four 9-hour days with a half day on Friday
  • Flexible start times while maintaining evening coverage until approximately 9:00 p.m

If you enjoy a later start to your day, prefer avoiding early mornings, or appreciate having flexibility built into your workweek, this could be an excellent fit.
What You'll Do
  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support and assist employees with routine HR questions.
  • Support recruiting, including job postings, applicant communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment screening.
  • Coordinate new employee orientation and support employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HR systems, and employment documentation.
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration, employee questions, and enrollment activities.
  • Support employee communications, recognition programs, company events, meetings, and engagement activities.
  • Assist with employee relations matters and appropriately escalate complex or sensitive concerns.
  • Audit HR records and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes, efficiency, and the employee experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality, follow established HR policies and procedures, and support a culture of safety.

What We're Looking For
Our Human Resources Assistant should be someone who brings a foundation of HR knowledge and experience and is excited to continue developing their career in Human Resources.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, approachable, and dependable. You understand the importance of confidentiality and professionalism, communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and follow-through.
Preferred qualifications include:
  • Previous experience in Human Resources or supporting HR functions such as recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, or employee administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn HR systems and technology.
  • A service-focused mindset and genuine interest in supporting employees.
  • Desire to learn, grow, and build a career in Human Resources.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity
You'll have the opportunity to build on your existing HR experience while gaining exposure to a variety of HR functions as our Human Resources Assistant. You'll work alongside an experienced HR team, contribute to a positive employee experience, and continue developing your skills as an HR professional.
If you have an HR foundation, enjoy working with people, and are ready for your next opportunity to learn and grow, we want to hear from you. Apply today!
