Customer Service Manager

Theodore, AL

Full-Time | Direct Hire


Long’s Human Resource Services is currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Manager for a growing manufacturing company in the Theodore, Alabama area. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing customer service functions, maintaining customer relationships, supporting order accuracy, and ensuring strong communication between customers and internal teams.


This position is ideal for someone with a strong account management background, excellent communication skills, and proven experience leading customer service operations in a professional business environment.


Responsibilities

  • Manage daily customer service functions and department workflow
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer-related issues
  • Maintain regular communication with customers and support customer calls
  • Verify customer orders for accuracy and on-time delivery
  • Review shipping documents for accuracy prior to shipment
  • Maintain customer portals and website communication records
  • Update and maintain customer work instructions, shipping matrices, pricing files, EDI master data, and part number documentation
  • Maintain departmental documentation and customer files
  • Manage office supply inventory
  • Provide backup support for customer service staff as needed
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel
  • Support visitor sign-in procedures and related office policies


Qualifications

  • College degree preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, customer service, or customer satisfaction
  • Prior supervisory experience in a customer service environment required
