This position will work closely with site leadership and employees to support HR programs, employee engagement, talent development, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on HR professional who can build strong relationships, provide practical guidance to leaders, and help implement HR initiatives that support both employees and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, offboarding, employee records, benefits administration, and employee relations.

  • Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance and coaching throughout the employee lifecycle.

  • Support initiatives related to employee engagement, talent development, retention, staffing, performance management, and organizational development.

  • Partner with site leadership to ensure HR priorities align with operational and business objectives.

  • Support recruitment activities and develop effective talent pipelines for production, skilled trades, technical, and supervisory positions.

  • Provide guidance and support to leaders during organizational and workplace changes.

  • Coach managers on effective communication, leadership practices, employee engagement, and team development.

  • Support managers with annual HR processes, performance management, and other people-related programs.

  • Assist with employee and labor relations matters, including meetings, investigations, grievance handling, and interpretation and administration of workplace agreements.

  • Help ensure compliance with applicable employment legislation, company policies, and internal procedures.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, or other fast-paced operational environment.

  • Experience supporting hourly and/or operational employees.

  • Experience working in a unionized environment is considered an asset.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance management, talent development, and organizational development.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.

  • Strong conflict resolution, problem-solving, and mediation skills.
