Purpose of the Job

The P&C Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and trusted partner to facility leadership, driving HR initiatives that align with business goals and enhance organizational effectiveness.

This role leads talent development efforts, supports workforce planning, and ensures consistent application of HR policies while fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and compliance.

Responsibilities/Duties
  • Advise facility and regional leadership on HR strategy, organizational design, and workforce optimization.
  • Manage employment-related inquiries from employees and managers, providing timely and accurate guidance.
  • Handle mid- to high-level employee relations issues and escalates complex matters to senior HR leadership or legal as needed.
  • Partner with facility hiring managers to ensure staffing levels are aligned with budgeted headcount and operational needs.
  • Interpret and communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and management, ensuring consistent application.
  • Initiate investigations and assist in compiling documentation and company response statements for legal matters including EEOC and REDA claims, OSHA reports, and employee hotline complaints.
  • Manage unemployment claims, including preparing and submitting documentation, participating in appeals hearings, and coordinating with facility managers.
  • Serve as the HR liaison in employee or facility meetings such as disciplinary discussions, manager/employee 1:1s, roundtables, town halls, open enrollment sessions, and safety meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of HR generalist experience
  • PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Workday preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics.
  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to organizational goals.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality.
Essential Mental and Physical Functions

Mental Functions: Non-repetitive and somewhat diversified job requiring continuous mental alertness or very close visual attention.

Physical Functions: Constantly (67-100%) required to sit. Occasionally (0-33%) required to stand, climb, walk, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Equipment Used: Computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office, and general office equipment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES None required.

Language Skills Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English proficiently.
