Join our closeโ€‘knit, team of approximately 50 employees as our HR Generalist, where youโ€™ll oversee HR support for our Syracuse division and play a meaningful role in shaping a positive, healthy workplace culture.

This is a handsโ€‘on, broad HR role where your ideas matter, your work is valued, and your contributions directly support our people and our mission.

Pay Range: $65K - $75K

This role requires travel to Syracuse 1-2 days per week.

About the Role

As our HR Generalist, youโ€™ll manage the daily functions of the HR department and serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership. Youโ€™ll support the full employee lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding to payroll, performance management, development, wellness, safety, and compliance

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a site HR partner to administer and support HR programs including onboarding, benefits, leave management, performance management, and employee relations
  • Participate in interviews and assist in hiring qualified candidates to meet staffing needs
  • Support an engaging and smooth onboarding process that sets employees up for success
  • Assist leadership in resolving employee concerns or conflicts and escalate sensitive issues to the HR Manager as appropriate
  • Maintain accurate and organized employee records within the HRIS; ensure timely updates and proper electronic documentation
  • Monitor employee time and attendance, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance with policy
  • Prepare and process weekly payroll and compile necessary reporting
  • Respond to employee, supervisor, and applicant inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and payroll
  • Assist with the design and delivery of training programs that support compliance, skill development, and employee growth
  • Oversee the performance review process to ensure timely completion and alignment with company policy
  • Track and document compliance with required and optional training
  • Support and promote corporate wellness initiatives that encourage healthy lifestyle choices
  • Enforce safety policies, identify potential hazards, and partner with leadership on corrective actions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and develop trusted relationships across the organization
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and recommended HR best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems and strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with consistent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with professionalism.
  • Analytical and problemโ€‘solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
