Role Description The Public Relations and Human Resources Director is a full-time (40 hours per week), on-site role based in Churchville, NY. This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership and day-to-day oversight of public relations and human resource functions. Compensation: $40,000-$42,500.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Communications

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Participate in Administrative Team meetings to assess and plan communication needsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate and align communication efforts across all ministries and departmentsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Establish priorities for graphic design projects; delegate internally or manage external vendorsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Oversee the creation and distribution of recurring communications (e.g., Pulse, NEUS, Prayer Focus, Prayer Chain)ย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Manage external communications, including media relations, advertising, and press releasesย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Provide supervision and support to the Media Designer


Human Resources

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and claims; communicate updates to Finance for payroll and budgetingย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Manage leave of absence claims (Short-term Disability, Workerโ€™s Compensation, Paid Family Leave, and Family Medical Leave Act)

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure completion of required insurance and benefits compliance reports

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Assist with recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordinationย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Coordinate employee onboarding and required screenings

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Conduct exit interviews and support offboarding processesย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records for all employeesย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Track and maintain approved employee paid time off records

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Oversee staff training compliance (e.g., CPR/AED/First Aid, safety requirements, annual Sexual Harassment training)ย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Ensure completion and maintenance of required documentation (e.g., conflict of interest disclosures, housing allowance forms, etc.)ย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Handle sensitive and confidential HR matters, including, but not limited to, employee relations concerns, harassment complaints, payroll issues, supervisory support, and employee discipline and termination, in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws


Administrative Support

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Oversee management of church vehicles (including scheduling, maintenance, insurance, inspections, and approved drivers) and maintain accurate records related to vehicle usage and complianceย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Preparation and submit Genesis Conference monthly reports

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Manage and safeguard legal and organizational recordsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Provide administrative support to pastoral staff as neededย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Serve as an alternate check signer and assist with banking deposits as neededย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย A committed and growing Christian who supports the mission and ministry of the churchย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Membership or regular attendance at Pearce Church

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Prior administrative experience required; ministry or nonprofit experience preferredย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience in record keeping and coordinationย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Excellent written and verbal communication skillsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systemsย 

ยทย ย ย ย ย ย ย Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple prioritiesย
