THE ROLE

The Human Performance Laboratory Coordinator will develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Technical Errors of Measurement (TEMs), and laboratory user manuals for the human performance research laboratory, as well as ensure adherence to the rules and regulations of human performance research lab.

The Human Performance Laboratory Coordinator will track usage of lab equipment, provide reports to supervisor and make recommendations on purchase of new equipment and maintenance of existing equipment, as well as maintain necessary research equipment and supplies for the human performance laboratory.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology or related field AND some years experience in a related field

AND

Current Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP) certification, an asset

Experience

In developing research hypotheses, designs and methodologies

In data collection and compilation of research data

In conducting field and laboratory physical fitness and exercise testing

In operating research equipment, hardware and research specialized software

In use and maintenance of high performance fitness/physiological testing, research equipment and hardware

In laboratory coordination activities

In coordinating projects and events

In developing, producing and publishing promotion materials

In business administration

In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English Essential or French Essential. Bilingual (English and French) an asset
