Training Period- 30 days: 7am-7pm

  • Position exists to provide a qualified person who is knowledgeable of quality system practices and possesses the necessary skills sets and competency to perform daily Quality routines and provide general expertise to the Inspection for purpose of assuring quality manufactured and completed flexible pipe products within the established safety, quality, and production guidelines. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assure Quality representation for assigned shift.
  • Prepare Quality shift reports as needed.
  • Perform Quality inspection audits, identifies anomalies, writes, and routes NCR/AR/SDR and performs inspection training.
  • Ensure process inspections are adequate and in compliance to Quality System
  • Document own work and verify that proper procedures are followed.
  • Research and prepare records for processing.  Track documents and records
  • Perform all reasonably related additional duties as assigned by immediate Lead and/or other Group Leads as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED, plus quality systems training, ANST Level II certification in at least one discipline.
  • 2 - 4 years hands-on inspection experience, including documented safety training, general leadership ability, or an equivalent combination.

  • Must have knowledge of quality systems and, including an understanding of ISO 9001 and API
  • Individual must have the ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Must have the ability to effectively present information to top management or other groups.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and present reports to direct or indirect management.
  • Must possess the ability to write, edit and implement quality process procedures.
  • Must complete all required basic skill, special skills and perquisite training associated with the Quality Group
  • Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • General recognized understanding of aspects of the assigned Quality department duties
  • Must have the ability to recognize potential problems, quickly report such concerns, and work directly with the HSEQ Team Lead and Global HSEQ group in the problem-solving process.
  • Attention to detail is a must; therefore, continuous analyzing of the on-going process is important to recognizing and preventing potential problems.  It is this individual’s responsibility to take the lead in this area.
  • Must have ability to work effectively with company personnel and customers.
  • Must be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.  Must possess a valid driver’s license.
