HSEQ Specialist (Field Evaluation)

ISN is seeking an HSEQ Specialist to support our Review and Verification Services (RAVS) team. In this role, you will leverage hands-on field experience to evaluate contractor HSEQ programs within ISNetworld, providing clients with practical, real-world insights and recommendations. This position is ideal for an HSE professional who combines field-based knowledge with a structured evaluation mindset and is comfortable engaging directly with clients to improve safety performance.

What You'll Do

  • Apply field experience and industry knowledge to evaluate contractor HSEQ programs, documentation, and processes
  • Provide technical guidance and advisory support to clients within ISNetworld
  • Conduct desktop and periodic field-based evaluations to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities
  • Translate regulatory requirements and industry standards into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Support development and enhancement of HSEQ review protocols and internal resources
  • Partner cross-functionally (including Sales) as a subject matter expert
  • Build strong client relationships as a trusted HSEQ advisor

 Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of HSE experience in field operations, or consulting environments
  • Experience reviewing or supporting safety management systems, contractor programs, or compliance initiatives
  • Exposure to audits, inspections, or program evaluations, with the ability to assess gaps and provide actionable recommendations
  • Ability to apply field-based HSE experience to structured evaluations or assessments
  • Strong communication skills and comfort engaging with clients and stakeholders
  • Bachelors in related field or equivalent relevant work experience

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO-based audits or structured audit frameworks (e.g., ISO 45001 or similar)
  • Lead Auditor certification or formal audit training
  • Background conducting or supporting field-based evaluations or client-facing assessments

ISO-based audits and formal auditor training are highly valued; we also welcome candidates with strong HSE experience who have applied audit or evaluation methodologies in practice.

Onsite Requirement: 

  • In-person attendance is required Monday through Friday during the first 90 days of employment. 
  • After your 90-day review/OR after completing training, in-person attendance is required 3 days per week and required for certain meetings and tasks (customer meetings, team collaboration day, ISN events, team events, performance reviews, etc.).
