Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us!

We're looking for a collaborative and strategic Manager, HRIS to lead our Workday platform and a team of HRIS Specialists. In this role, you'll help shape how we leverage people technology by building scalable solutions, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring Workday continues to be a strong foundation for our people processes. You'll balance day-to-day operational excellence with longer-term improvements that help our systems and processes grow with the business.

Success in this role requires deep Workday expertise, experience managing delivery across internal teams and external implementation partners, and the ability to establish effective processes for project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and resource management. We're looking for a leader who understands how Workday connects to the broader People Technology ecosystem and is excited to evolve our systems, processes, and team as our organization grows.

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you’ll do at Figma:
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of HRIS Specialists by building technical depth through cross‑training, documentation, and shared ownership across Workday functional areas
  • Evolve the team's operating model, including project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, capacity planning, and release management
  • Manage work across internal HRIS team members and external implementation partners, balancing quality, speed, and cost
  • Provide governance and technical oversight for Workday configuration, while contributing hands‑on configuration for complex, high‑impact, or business‑critical initiatives
  • Partner closely with People, Payroll, IT, Finance, and other cross‑functional teams to understand business needs and deliver integrated solutions
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate manual work, and increase operational efficiency across the systems ecosystem
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and features, including AI‑enabled capabilities, and recommend solutions that enhance the employee and people team experience
  • Contribute to the evolution of our broader technology ecosystem by ensuring Workday integrates effectively with the systems that support our Figmates
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 8+ years in HRIS or People Technology, with deep expertise in Workday configuration across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Integrations
  • Proven success leading and developing high-performing HRIS or People Technology teams
  • Demonstrated ownership of Workday delivery, including configuration governance, project intake, prioritization, sprint planning, and release management within a SOX‑compliant environment
  • Strong track record of managing work across internal teams and external implementation partners to deliver scalable, high‑quality solutions
  • Deep understanding of the broader People Technology ecosystem and how Workday integrates with enterprise systems, coupled with curiosity about emerging technologies and AI

At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills.

You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
