Pay: $60,000 annually
This position is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the HR department, including payroll support, recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and employee records.

As the HR Generalist, you'll be in charge of:
  • Assisting with payroll processing and maintaining accurate employee data.
  • Managing the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, screening, interviews, background checks, and new hire paperwork.
  • Maintaining employee records, training documentation, certifications, and compliance requirements.
  • Partnering with Altres on payroll, benefits, FMLA/TDI/WC, and other employee-related matters.
  • Supporting employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, progressive discipline, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinating HR, safety, and professional development trainings.
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and county employment laws, including DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.

The ideal HR Generalist candidate has:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2+ years of HR experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Additional Requirements:
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
