Caritas Management Corporation is currently hiring for multiple Resident Manager opportunities at affordable housing communities in San Francisco. This is a live-on-site position, and a studio apartment is included. Communities vary in size and affordable housing programs. Street Parking only.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
**Affordable Housing and recertification experience are required. Candidates without affordable housing and recertification experience will not be considered. Experience with programs such as LOSP, Tax Credit, HUD, Project-Based Voucher (PBV), and/or Continuum of Care (CoC) is preferred.
Candidates without Affordable Housing and Recertification experience will not be considered.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: The Resident Manager is responsible for the daily administration, maintenance and full occupancy of the units for the residential community in San Francisco. Duties include supervision of staff as well as contractual workers, accessibility by phone for after-hours emergencies, rent collection & posting, bank deposits, tenant selection, maintaining waiting lists, move-in/out procedures, completing lease agreements, maintaining tenant files, tenant relations, re-certifications, posting legal notices, overseeing maintenance, making unit inspections, keeping records and attending required meetings, training seminars and workshops.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of affordable housing property management experience, preferably with HUD, Tax Credit, LOSP, Project-Based Voucher (PBV), Continuum of Care (CoC), or other affordable housing programs.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and documentation.
- Accounting/bookkeeping experience, including maintaining resident accounts receivable ledgers; Yardi experience preferred.
- Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and effectively.
- Ability to respond to emergencies, resident concerns, and complaints while meeting required deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population, including individuals with special needs.
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
