Job description

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team at the Haworth Hotel, a 48-room boutique hotel located on the campus of Hope College in downtown Holland.

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms, meeting spaces, public areas, and laundry services meet the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, train, schedule, and support housekeeping staff.
  • Assign daily work and inspect completed rooms and public areas for quality and cleanliness.
  • Ensure housekeeping policies, procedures, and uniform standards are followed.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly.
  • Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other housekeeping materials.
  • Perform routine inspections and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and service.
  • Assist the housekeeping team with cleaning duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping leadership or supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping procedures and cleaning practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position, including cleaning guest rooms, operating laundry, floor care equipment,and working with cleaning chemicals.
