Job description

Positions Summary:
A Housekeeping Assistant is selected to perform cleaning tasks in order to maintain a clean and sanitary facility. The housekeeper must be trained or experienced in the proper cleaning methods in accordance with the health and sanitation code requirements of the State and/or local authorities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The building and all its parts and facilities shall be kept in clean, neat and attractive. The safety and comfort of residents shall be the first consideration.
All walls, floors, ceilings, windows and fixtures shall be kept clean. Interior walls and floors shall be of a character to permit frequent and easy cleaning.
The facility shall be kept free of unnecessary accumulations of personal possessions, boxes, trunks, suitcases, papers, unused furniture, bed clothing, linens, bric-a-brac and similar items.
Patient's rooms will be cleaned daily.
Pull furniture out, as needed and dust all furniture.
Dry and wet mop all floors.
Clean mirrors, bed frames, walls of rooms and hallways, including trim along the bottom of walls and handrails. Patient bathrooms will be cleaned twice daily
