POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a housekeeping attendant for one of our senior living residences.
Schedule: Full-time or part-time, flexible hours


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • At all times, respect safety rules, intervene or inform your manager if elements appear to contravene WHMIS standards.
  • Carry out any other tasks related to his/her duties and at the request of his/her immediate superior.
  • Clean residents' bathrooms and toilets
  • Clear corridors and access doors of items that could be cumbersome and affect the safety of residents
  • Ensure that the storage area for household products and the work cart are clean, safe and locked at all times
  • Respond to emergencies such as: overflowing toilet, slippery surfaces, soiled area, etc.
  • Sweep and wash floors, dust furniture, window sills, mirrors or other areas where dust can accumulate
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • WHMIS training (an asset, provided on site if applicable)
  • Knowledge of household products and their use
