Job description

Company Description

We're looking for a Software Engineer to build out features for our client, a product/technology focused company, where both founders are engineers and still write product code.

Job Description

We're looking for someone who can handle a full cycle feature build, starting from data model to implementing the subtle interaction behaviors that can catapult software to a greater level. You'd have the ability to work closely with seasoned UI designers and be supported by a high level software infrastructure team. You'd be working on both large new features and daily small product updates and have the ability to leverage an in house framework to build applications with properties like immediate responsiveness and real-time syncing. This framework eliminates the separation between frontend code and backend code. This is an opportunity to use a new paradigm for building interactive software, and to drive the requirements for its ongoing development.

Qualifications

  • Passion for creating user experience that creates a lasting impression.

  • Attention to small details

  • Strong ability to strike a balance between an aggressive approach and long term code maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of web technologies

  • Computer Science background

  • Knowledge of a variety of frameworks (server side, browser side, or for desktop software)

  • Strong experience converting a mock to HTML/CSS prototype

  • Experience supporting live production infrastructure

  • Ability to handle pressure and solve problems

  • Aptitude for data analytics and metrics, designing A/B tests that will impact company decisions
