Job description

DESCRIPTION
You will be an expert in the art of culinary production. You will become a master of efficiency, and precise in execution. You will know the specs and deliver plates that look and taste exactly as they should in the time frame that is expected.
What are we looking for?

  • The ability to manage high volume production in a fast-paced environment.
  • Love of food and appreciation for producing high quality
  • A tremendous ability to communicate with fellow team members and supervisors.
  • A can-do, problem solving and fun-loving attitude.
  • Experience is preferred but not required
  • Be of legal working age
  • Must be able to lift & carry 35 lbs. Unassisted
  • Have the ability to move around 80-90% per shift
  • Must be able to perform work for 8-10 hours per shift
  • Operate & handle small tools

A Line Cook will:
  • Prepares or directs preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems.
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders.
  • Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved.
  • Portions and plates of food for serving.
  • Follows proper food preparation and handling techniques.
  • Label, date, and store ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste
  • Maintains daily production records.
  • Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards.
  • Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
