Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)

  • Execute an innovative, cross-platform strategy to grow House Beautiful's social media presence
  • Develop and maintain a social calendar with compelling promotional plans tied to editorial content and tentpoles
  • Post daily to key platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Apple News
  • Collaborate with editorial, art, commerce, and photo teams to produce engaging, social-first content
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, sharing insights with the broader editorial team
  • Monitor platform trends and adapt strategies accordingly to ensure brand relevance and growth
  • Help create original social content, from short-form video to carousels and Stories
  • Stay up to date with emerging platforms and tools to identify new growth opportunities

Qualifications (What We're Looking For)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in social media, preferably at a digital publisher or brand
  • Strong editorial judgment and clean, engaging writing skills
  • Deep familiarity with social platforms and scheduling/analytics tools like Dash Hudson, TrueAnthem, and Parse.ly
  • A sharp eye for design, visuals, and aesthetic trends in the home/design space
  • Enthusiastic, collaborative, and organized - thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Passionate about digital storytelling and the evolving media landscape
  • Hybrid role based in NYC; required in-office presence is 4 days per week

The base salary for this role is between $60,000 - $63,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
