Job description

Senior Specialist within the Manufacturing Machine Operations job family. Has substantial understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Complexity & Problem Solving: Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Collaboration & Interaction: Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
Senior Specialist (Hourly)
Position Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in cold heading, pointing, and/or threading preferred.
  • Capable of using standard tools and measurement devices such as micrometers, scales, rulers, depth gauges and calipers.
  • Ability to interpret safety instructions, job orders, blueprints, quality specifications, and other related documents.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong math and mechanical reasoning skills.
  • Ability to contribute as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
  • Positive can-do attitude.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in high noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
  • Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
  • Ability to use hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently.
  • The position requires the ability to regularly stand.
  • The position requires good close vision and depth perception skills.
  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
