Description:

The Expressive Movement Coordinator is responsible for leading the holistic wellness initiatives at AREOM, a movement studio dedicated to fostering well-being through spiritual wisdom. This role requires a strong balance of administrative, creative, and interpersonal skills to oversee the studio’s programs, support client engagement, and promote class growth through compassionate communication and strategic planning.

Evening and weekend availability required.


Requirements:

Responsibilities (including but not are not limited to):

  • Design and implement classes, workshops, open houses, and private events that align with AREOM’s mission of holistic well-being.
  • Ensure program offerings meet the needs of both current and prospective clients, while fostering growth in alignment with the studio’s goals.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline studio operations.
  • Recruit and onboard instructors to support current and future program needs.
  • Provide ongoing support to instructors, promoting a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
  • Maintain an engaging monthly newsletter featuring class highlights, promotions, and initiatives to increase attendance.
  • Send welcome letters to prospective clients, outlining benefits of AREOM and encouraging participation.
  • Request, implement, and manage payroll; prepare weekly payroll reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct monthly analytics to assess program performance, including class sales and participation rates, and implement initiatives to address any areas in need of growth.
  • Create and execute marketing campaigns that reflect AREOM’s mission and incentivize community engagement.
  • Ensure that outreach initiatives and campaigns resonate with our diverse client base and promote studio values of wellness and enlightenment.
  • Act as a loving, kind listener and mentor, fostering a supportive, client-centered environment.
  • Be able to assist the front desk with yoga check in when needed.
  • Other tasks will be assigned during events.
  • Oversee the Mindbody business app including schedules, registrations, staff profiles, memberships, contracts, substitutions, cancellations, and event setup.
  • Coordinate instructor substitutions and communication between instructors, substitutes, front desk staff, and clients.
  • Meet with leadership regularly to present schedule changes, proposals, and long-range programming plans.
  • Support instructors in understanding and implementing the No-Touch Policy through education, mentoring, and training opportunities.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have earned a minimum of 200 hours of Teacher Training through a Yoga Alliance 200-hour registered school program or equivalent and evidence of training required.
  • An equivalent combination of work experience and education can be substituted for required education and experience.
  • Relevant and equivalent work experience includes volunteer work, internships, freelance work and transferable skills.
  • Must be neat and clean in appearance and must wear appropriate attire.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the philosophy of the key principles in the Edgar Cayce readings, particularly kindness, active patience and service orientation is desired.
  • Strong working knowledge and intermediate skills required of Microsoft Outlook software for email communication and calendar tasks, to include Word, Excel, Outlook email and Calendar.
  • Requires strong interpersonal/oral/written communications for both external and internal customers, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a self-starter who can interact and work well with people at all levels both internally and public.
  • High degrees of emotional intelligence and maturity required— demonstrating adaptability, engagement and enthusiasm.

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to move between buildings on uneven ground and to use staircases in historical buildings without elevators is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs. of boxes of materials/supplies and transport over uneven ground on a regular basis is required.
  • Good physical stamina is essential; requires mobility between buildings to include walking on uneven ground and stair climbing in historical buildings without elevators.
