  • Oversee the installation and completion of all network infrastructure required to achieve Ready for Service (RFS) status.
  • Supervise low-voltage contractors responsible for structured cabling, access control systems, security cameras, and associated technologies.
  • Validate cabling, wiring, and network infrastructure installations to ensure compliance with documented standards and specifications.
  • Configure and commission network switches, ports, and related infrastructure components.
  • Support post-deployment and operational readiness activities utilizing established engineering documentation and implementation procedures.
  • Deploy and configure infrastructure supporting video surveillance, access control systems, telephony, and physical security technologies.
  • Assist with workstation provisioning, domain connectivity, and foundational IT setup for downstream operations teams.
  • Coordinate effectively with building management, construction teams, vendors, and internal technical stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones and ensure all IT-related buildout activities remain aligned with construction schedules.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working within active construction environments; data center construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to comply with construction site safety requirements, including PPE such as safety boots, high-visibility vests, and hard hats.
  • Hands-on experience deploying network infrastructure within new-build or large-scale facility environments.
  • Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and low-voltage installation practices.
  • Experience configuring network switches, managing ports, and performing commissioning activities.
  • Ability to oversee contractor performance and verify installation quality.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with experience representing IT during cross-functional project meetings.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure for security systems, video surveillance, access control systems, or telephony.
  • Ability to work independently as the primary onsite IT resource.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing vendors, contractors, and structured cabling providers.
  • Background in network infrastructure deployment, field engineering, or commissioning operations.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent networking credentials.
