Description:

Seeking an experienced IT professional to support network, systems, and application management for our federal customer. This position requires expertise in maintaining secure, compliant environments, managing diverse applications, and providing executive-level reporting and analytics.

About the Role:

  • Support Microsoft Windows server environments.
  • Support storage arrays like Dell and others to maintain health and efficient use.
  • Support system backups and restore using Commvault.
  • Manage Cisco network switches (as needed), system logs, and asset inventory.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure compliance through patch management and vulnerability scanning.
  • Install, configure, and maintain office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, and multifunction devices.
  • Represent the customer's division as the SME on the enterprise change configuration control board.
  • Provide customer support for applications, including cloud-hosted solutions, and coordinate with customers for superior service delivery.
  • Maintain operational availability of customer servers and respond to user requests within 60 minutes. Industry certification (e.g., Microsoft) and relevant experience are required.
  • Maintain and secure the agency’s information systems, including 30-35 Microsoft and Oracle applications and databases. Support Java, Web, Oracle Database, SharePoint, and Tableau administration.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain tools for account and change management.
  • Provide dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analytics for executives using Oracle Federal Financials and other sources.
  • Create and maintain database schemas, configurations, permissions, and SQL scripts to support operations.
  • Develop Java/XML interfaces for Oracle Financial Systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Conduct Section 508 compliance testing and documentation, collaborating with business analysts and developers.
  • Perform sprint, regression, integration, and accessibility testing, utilizing tools like JAWS and WAVE.
  • Support RPA initiatives using UiPath and ensure all work aligns with the agency’s policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of network and application experience, including federal government environments.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, Cisco), a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle, Java, and SharePoint preferred.

Citizenship or Work Authorization Required: US Citizen  

Preferred Education & Experience: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor’s Degree.   

Target Salary Range 

Compensation for roles at Synergy is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the requirements of the role; level of experience; education and certifications; the individual’s combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities; as well as alignment with market data, federal and state laws, and other business and contract considerations. The estimated pay range for this position is: $167,000 – $187,000. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and represent just one component of Synergy’s total compensation package for employees.
