Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, preparing ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat, etc.),ย and cooking food in various utensils or grillers. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. They must be deft in moving around the kitchen and adept in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele.ย 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00.

Responsibilities

  • Check quality of ingredientsย 
  • Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortagesย 
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as cook
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school is a plus
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakewareย 
  • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)ย 
  • Ability to follow all sanitation proceduresย 
  • Ability to work in a team environmentย 
  • Very good communication skillsย
