Job description

PEEP Hourly Tutors $16.30 - $18.47 per hour 35 hours per week 10 month 8:00 am - 4:00 pm (varying start time based on PEEP schedule) Scope of Responsibilities: PEEP Hourly Tutors must meet all requirements for the State of Michigan Licensing Tutors for child care centers. Tutors assigned to PEEP classrooms will report to their assigned building at the start of the school day and work in the classroom the entire school day. PEEP Hourly Tutors will attend professional development, with all PEEP staff, throughout the school year.

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Must have a high school diploma or accredited equivalency (GED), and at least one of the following Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) qualifications: a. Two years of study (at least 60 credit hours) at an institution of higher education; b.

ACT Work Keys Assessment with a passing score in all three areas, Reading - level 4, Mathematics - level 4, Writing - level 3 c. Basic Skills Test of the Michigan Teacher for Certification with passing scores; or d. Education Testing Service (ETS) Paraprofessional Assessment with a passing level of 460.

2. Technology skills to support on-line testing. 3.

Ability to communicate clearly and express ideas. 4. Ability to develop rapport with students.

5. Ability to follow instructions given by the classroom teacher. 6.

Ability to follow policies and procedures in a secure setting. 7. Complete and submit biweekly time sheets.

Maintain work activity logs. 8. Complete and submit Time and Effort Reports (i.e..., Monthly Federal Certification Forms and Personnel Activity Reports or Semi-Annual Certification Forms) as required for any personnel fully or partially funded with federal funds.
