Certified Fleet Diesel Technician Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and fleet vehicles accurately and efficiently
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventative service on fleet and commercial vehicles
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, emissions, fuel, and drivability systems
  • Complete work in accordance with Ford manufacturer standards and dealership procedures
  • Accurately document all diagnostics, repairs, and recommended services

Certified Fleet Diesel Technician Compensation and Benefits

$34.00/hour guaranteed base pay for all hours worked.

Technicians may earn additional production-based bonus compensation, calculated on completed and paid repair orders. High-performing technicians have the opportunity to earn significantly above base hourly pay through productivity incentives!

This position may be eligible for a signing bonus. Any bonus offered is discretionary and will be determined based on jobrelated factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Certified Fleet Diesel Technician Qualifications

  • Certified Diesel Technician (Ford certification preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing diesel engines and fleet vehicles
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across diesel, electrical, emissions, and drivability systems
  • Proven experience performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and major diesel repairs
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scan tools, and repair software
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced fleet/service environment
  • Commitment to safety standards and dealership procedures

Corporate Hiring Requirements: Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
