Aviatron, Inc. takes pride in its' key role of providing leadership in the use of quality Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) & Designated Engineering Representative (DER) parts on Air Cycle Machines for the largest Regional Jet Operators in the world. And in using quality PMA parts for the Air Cycle Machine's rotating group on the CRJ & Dash 8 aircraft, we have achieved significant cost savings for our customers in the process without sacrificing quality or reliability. We endeavor to increase the availability of quality PMA parts to keep our customers' costs low.

Base salary range: $75,000-$90,000 hourly/annually, plus bonus potential, comprehensive health/dental/vision/Life and disability insurance, 401(k) match up to 6%, and Vacation, sick days, flexible work.
Overview of the Position:
Provide project management of multiple engineering projects, reverse engineering, and technical writing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reverse engineer, troubleshoot, and repair of various aircraft components, both electrical and mechanical, using manual and automatic measuring equipment.
  • Establish measurement tolerances using accepted industry practices and/or review of next higher assemblies.
  • Create, revise, and review designs using Solidworks 3D CAD Software
  • Create PMA (Parts Manufacturing Authority) and Repair Process Supporting Documentation Packages for submittal to the FAA and/or customers.
  • Research, collect data, and work with design teams to evaluate, select, adapt, and modify techniques, procedures and criteria to solve problems.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • College graduation with degree or demonstrated equivalent experience. Further knowledge and witnessed practice of company core values.
  • Knowledge of industry related sales and marketing principles.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Has an understanding of both the Repair Station and Design and Development quality manuals
  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements for airworthiness for FAA and various foreign authorities.
  • Experience in the quality control and new product development within the aviation industry.

Education / Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree (Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering preferred); or equivalent as determined by the hiring manager.
