Job Overview:
The Public Areas Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This position is fast paced with constant customer interaction and must be able to push and pull a moderate weight. This position is also responsible for servicing guest requests.

Position Responsibilities
  • Acknowledges and greets guests in public spaces with a warm, friendly greeting
  • Cleaning of common/public areas; Cleans assigned washrooms, to specified standards using prescribed procedures, including but not limited to wiping, dusting, sweeping, mopping, polishing, scrubbing, shampooing, other and straightening
  • Restocking and removing towels in the gym/pool areas
  • Picks up ground litter around hotel or whatever visible
  • Assists the housekeeping department as needed with cleaning, laundry, and supplies
  • Ensuring that the facility remains clean at all times to include back of house areas
  • Responding to customers' queries, concerns, and complaints.
  • Responds and delivers to quest requests
  • Promptly turns in lost articles to management for entry into Lost and Found.
  • Perform any other related duty as required.

Wage Information:
The salary range for this position is $23.00 to $29.90. The starting hourly rate is $23.00. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.
$2.00 Shift Differential for shifts starting after 10:00pm and hours worked through 8:00am.
