Engineering and Operations Planner
The Opportunity:
Serve as the Action Officer responsible for managing operational requirements for a Joint Engineer staff, including task oversight, operational planning, Joint exercise preparation. Represent the Joint Engineer in meetings and ensure timely execution of assigned actions. Provide in-depth technical expertise in Joint Engineer operations to analyze orders and support deliberate, contingency, and crisis planning. Offer guidance to Operational Planning Groups, Boards, Bureaus, Centers, Cells, and Working Groups. Draft, coordinate, and secure approval for operations orders and plans for subordinate commands, external partners, and INDOPACOM staff. Participate in joint planning initiatives and operate independently with minimal oversight.
You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience supporting military engineer operations
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Joint military operations
  • 3+ years of experience working in the Indo-Pacific Command Area of Responsibility (AOR)
  • Experience in mission planning with a military Operational Planning Team (OPT) or Joint Planning Group (JPG)
  • Knowledge of service component relationships with higher level commands and subordinate task forces
  • Ability to conceptualize, develop, and staff courses of action through organization leadership to orchestrate employment of Joint Engineer capabilities throughout the AOR
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with joint planning to support Geographic Combatant Command (GCC) initiatives
  • Experience with drafting Joint Orders, tasking orders, and operations orders
  • Experience as an Action Officer (AO)
  • Ability to use groupware products, including Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Master's degree
  • Completion of JPME-I
  • Completion of Military Education Level 4 such as at a Command and General Staff College

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
