Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients presenting with mood disorder symptoms such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, assessing the intensity, frequency, and duration of these symptoms.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs, goals, and preferences of each client, incorporating their feedback to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective mental health services.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, coping strategies, and self-care practices vital for their recovery.
  • Monitor client progress systematically, adjusting treatment plans according to their evolving needs and feedback.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that clients receive holistic support.
  • Stay informed on current research and best practices regarding mood disorders to continually refine treatment strategies and improve service delivery.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Additionally, we cater to marginalized groups such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse, providing tailored support and guidance to facilitate their healing journeys.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is essential for this position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build a secure therapeutic relationship with clients.
