Position Summary
The Racquet Shop Attendant is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming Racquet Shop environment. This position serves as a primary point of contact for members and guests, assisting with court reservations, merchandise sales, program inquiries, and daily facility operations. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a best-in-class member and guest experience.
This position may be part-time or full-time and requires availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming, professional atmosphere for all members and guests.
• Deliver a best-in-class member and guest experience through positive interactions, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
• Greet and acknowledge members and guests promptly upon arrival and departure.
• Assist members and guests with booking court reservations, program registrations, and racquet-related inquiries.
• Answer incoming phone calls and respond to questions regarding court availability, lessons, programs, events, and facility operations.
• Process sales transactions for merchandise, apparel, and racquet shop products.
• Maintain accurate records and assist with inventory, merchandising, and retail displays as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment throughout the Racquet Shop and surrounding areas.
• Complete daily opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities.
• Communicate effectively with members, guests, tennis professionals, and fellow team members.
• Support special events, tournaments, and club activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Outstanding customer service and hospitality skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Interest in racquet sports, fitness, hospitality, or recreation is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times.
