Job description

FENCE INSTALLER
Monday – Friday
6:30 am - 3:30 pm
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Preparing, building, and installing new fences
  • Report to jobsite with the foreman
  • Measure and lay out fence lines and mark posthole positions, following instructions, drawings, or specifications.
  • Prepare the area for new fences using tractor, post hole digger and hydraulic post pounder.
  • Dig post holes and mix cement for installation. (cement is used on approximately 30% of jobs)
  • Install the main posts
  • Cut and install fence rails
  • Set fence posts, rails, and lines
  • Install barbwire, net wire, wood, picket, vinyl, chain link, and electric fences
  • Inspect and maintain, or remove old fences
  • Ensure the truck has all the equipment and fencing materials for the day of work, and the load is secure
  • Keep the worksite free of debris upon completion
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience in welding, wood manufacturing, vinyl manufacturing, or concrete work is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • At least 1-year experience in construction, carpentry, or fencing is preferred
  • General knowledge operating equipment preferred. i.e. tractors, post hole diggers, hydraulic post pounders, four wheelers, fork lifts, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to use tape measure accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer satisfaction skills
