Millwork/Cabinet Installation Subcontractor


Location: Suffern, NY and surrounding project sites throughout New York and Northern New Jersey

Builders Mark General Contracting is a renovation and remodeling company serving homeowners and property owners throughout New York and nearby areas. Our work includes kitchens, bathrooms, full-home renovations, additions, flooring, tile, trim, and custom project work where quality craftsmanship and dependable trade partners make all the difference.

We are looking to connect with experienced Millwork/Cabinet Installation Subcontractors for upcoming renovation projects. This opportunity is best suited for a reliable, detail-oriented subcontractor or small crew with experience installing cabinets, trim, built-ins, finish carpentry, and related millwork in residential remodeling environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install kitchen cabinets, vanities, built-ins, trim, doors, moldings, and other finish carpentry or millwork components.
  • Read layouts, plans, and installation details to complete work accurately.
  • Coordinate with the Builders Mark team and other trades to keep projects moving.
  • Maintain high standards for fit, finish, alignment, and final presentation.
  • Protect client homes and maintain a clean work area.
  • Communicate project needs, delays, missing materials, or field conditions promptly.
  • Complete work safely, professionally, and according to agreed timelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with cabinet installation, millwork, trim, and finish carpentry.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality finished results.
  • Reliable transportation, tools appropriate for cabinet and finish carpentry installation work, and any licenses or insurance required to perform subcontracted work in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Strong communication and scheduling reliability.
  • Experience working in occupied homes and residential renovation environments preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate with general contractors, designers, homeowners, and other trades.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and committed to clean, respectful work.

Pay and Benefits

  • Independent Contractor (1099)/Subcontractor Relationship
  • Compensation will be project-based or hourly, depending on the scope of work and subcontractor arrangement.
  • Pay will be competitive and based on experience, reliability, and quality of work.
  • Long-term subcontractor relationships may be available for the right fit.
