About the Role

We are hiring a Residential Security Officer to work gate access and/or patrol at private residential communities in the Savannah and Pooler, Georgia area. You will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors, responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming environment while enforcing community access policies.

What You'll Do
  • Control vehicle and pedestrian access at community gates verify residents, log visitors, and manage guest lists
  • Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of community grounds, common areas, and perimeters
  • Monitor security cameras and alarm systems
  • Enforce community rules and HOA policies in a professional manner
  • Write clear, accurate daily activity reports and incident reports
  • Respond to security concerns, disturbances, and emergencies
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors
  • Communicate with dispatch, site supervisors, and management as needed
Schedule Details

Shift times will vary based on site needs and may include:

  • Day shifts
  • Evening shifts
  • Overnight shifts

Weekend availability is required. You will receive your schedule in advance. Full-time and part-time hours may be available depending on operational needs, with overtime opportunities.

Compensation

$18.00 $19.00 per hour, based on site assignment and experience. Overtime is paid at 1.5x for all hours over 40 in a work week.

Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be able to obtain Georgia Board of Private Detective and Security Agencies registration
  • Clean criminal background must pass a background check
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Availability to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Residential community or HOA security experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification
