I. Position

Horticulture Specialist


II. Classification

Full-Time Seasonal, Hourly, Non-Exempt


III. Job Purpose

The purpose of this position is to be the Horticulture Specialist of the clubhouse grounds and turfgrass facility


IV. Reports to:

Grounds Management team


V. Duties and Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities for the Horticulture Specialist is to be detail orientated, dependable, and accountable, possess a high degree of integrity and work well with others. The responsibility's of the Horticulture Specialist include but not limited to:

  • Regular maintenance of all plantings and mulch beds on property as well as outside guest seating areas and walk paths around the Village Clubhouse and Lodge
  • Apply fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides and insecticides to all landscape areas
  • Watering of all plantings on property
  • Removal of any garbage or debris around clubhouse and surrounding area
  • Removal of weeds around Village Clubhouse and entrance road

Requirements

VI. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Work outside in all weather conditions
  • Work on or near heavy machinery
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis
  • Do repetitive tasks
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner
