Job description

The Grounds Manager Lead Horticulturist will oversee and manage all aspects of residential grounds maintenance and horticultural planning. This role involves hands-on plant care, irrigation management, and landscape design. The ideal candidate will effectively maintain and enhance property landscapes using manual planning methods, ensuring a high standard of upkeep with no travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain residential grounds and landscapes
  • Plan horticultural activities manually for optimal plant health and growth
  • Oversee plant care, including pruning, fertilizing, and pest management
  • Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and efficiency

Company Description

Sunset West Condominiums is located on Puget Sound on ten acres that has over three acres of gardens, grasses and trees in an arboretum like setting. We are looking for a person who would enjoy the development and maintenance of these gardens. A sound background on plants and placement, tree pruning, fertilizing, irrigation and overall yard maintenance is a must. Knowledgeable use of yard care equipment required. Being a self-starter and the desire to work with others on staff and with residents is important. The SSW Team prides itself in taking their job responsibilities personally, as if it were their own, we are hoping the same for this person.
