Job Description
General Medicine/Surgical Unit - West 7- Complex Care Unit
  • Specialize in Stroke, Cystic Fibrosis, and ETOH withdrawal
  • Primary general medical unit with multiple diagnoses and patient demographics
  • Patients with Pneumonia, COPD, alcohol withdrawal, along with many other conditions
Position Summary: Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
Level II Registered Nurse (RN): The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II nurse provides support to team problem solving. The Level II nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The Level II nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations.
PAY RANGE: $38.76 - $50.33
*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations
Job Requirements
At time of initial hire:
Minimum 6 months RN expertise in an acute care setting.
BS in Nursing preferred.
Licensed by New York State to practice as a Registered Nurse.
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare providers for Healthcare providers) upon hire.
