How much do hourly financial analyst jobs pay per year?

As of Jun 11, 2026, the average yearly pay for hourly financial analyst in the United States is $88,111.00, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $70,000.00 and $110,500.00 per year, depending on experience, location, and employer.

Can you be a part-time financial analyst?

Yes, financial analyst roles can be offered on a part-time basis, depending on the employer and the specific job requirements. Part-time financial analysts typically work fewer hours and may focus on specific projects or areas such as budgeting, forecasting, or data analysis, often requiring proficiency in tools like Excel or financial modeling. Availability for part-time work varies by company and industry needs.

Will AI replace financial analysts?

AI can automate routine tasks such as data analysis and reporting for financial analysts, but it is unlikely to fully replace the role. Financial analysts rely on critical thinking, judgment, and industry knowledge that AI tools currently cannot replicate entirely. Instead, AI is expected to augment their work, allowing analysts to focus on strategic decision-making and complex analysis.

What jobs make $1,000,000 a year?

In the field of finance, highly experienced senior financial analysts or chief financial officers (CFOs) at large corporations can earn annual compensation exceeding $1 million, often including bonuses, stock options, and other incentives. Achieving this level typically requires extensive experience, advanced certifications like CFA or CPA, and leadership roles within organizations. Such high earnings are less common and usually involve executive or specialized investment positions.

Is 40 too old to get into finance?

Hourly Financial Analysts can enter the finance field at any age, as employers value skills, experience, and certifications like the CFA or CPA. Age is generally not a barrier if you demonstrate relevant knowledge, strong analytical skills, and a willingness to learn new tools such as Excel or financial modeling software.

What is the difference between Hourly Financial Analyst vs Part-Time Financial Analyst?
