Job description

JOB TITLE: Windows Systems Administrator/DevOps JOB LOCATION: Boston, MA ( Position will be hybrid after initial probation \ training period. After probation period (usually 3-4 weeks) half the time could be remote. Local candidates are preferred) WAGE RANGE*: 70 - 77/ hour W2 JOB NUMBER: 37323300 2 Month Contract (Potential for extension(s) JOB DESCRIPTION: Active Directory domain level is at Windows Server 2019, which is eol 01-09-2029.

We would like to upgrade the domain level to Windows Server 2025. This will provide enhanced security hardening, improved scalability, reduced database fragmentation and better performance. The experienced Domain Administrator will use VMWare resources to create 5 new Domain Controllers to replace the older servers.

The contractor must be at the Senior Domain Administrator level with domain upgrade experience and expertise. The project will involve thorough testing in our Dev environment prior to the Production environment upgrade. Strong Active Directory skills with Group Policy creation and maintenance, OU and Domain management are required Expertise with Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022 and 2025 Past Domain Upgrade Experience preferred, which will involve Forest upgrade, FSMO role transfer, Kerberos, CA certificate and Windows DNS management experience Equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities * While an hourly range is posted for this position, an eventual hourly rate is determined by a comprehensive salary analysis which considers multiple factors including but not limited to: job-related knowledge, skills and qualifications, education and experience as compared to others in the organization doing substantially similar work, if applicable, and market and business considerations.
