Job description

GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
A Hourly Foreman Plantposition is available at Garney. The Hourly Foreman Plant's main duty is to lead and supervise construction crews in water and wastewater projects. Ensures worker safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to project plans.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks within project timelines. Develop and maintain detailed work schedules. Assign daily responsibilities to crew members
  • Oversee and train construction workers and tradespeople. Ensure adequate staffing and resources for project completion
  • Implement and enforce strict safety protocols. Maintain adherence to quality standards throughout the project
  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of construction machinery and equipment
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure they align with budget parameters
  • Identify and address project challenges promptly and effectively
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to management and engineering team

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven experience in water/wastewater construction foreman role
  • In-depth knowledge of water/wastewater construction procedures, equipment, and safety regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic and pumping systems
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, plans, and blueprints
  • Strong mathematical skills for calculations and estimates
  • Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • A minimum of 5 years of demonstrably successful experience in the construction industry
