DJP Jewelers & Luxury Buyers The WoodlandsSpring is seeking a Buyer & Sales Representative to support both buying and sales operations in a luxury retail environment. This role serves as the primary buyer at the counter, helping evaluate valuables, negotiate offers, and close transactions in the POS (point of sale) system, while also delivering a polished and professional customer experience.
Paid training is provided on buying procedures, product knowledge, store systems, and daily operations. Team members work under guidance until fully trained and approved to handle buying responsibilities independently.

DJP Jewelers & Luxury Buyers is a Texas luxury marketplace headquartered in Houston, with branches in The WoodlandsSpring, Sugar Land, and Austin. We buy and sell diamonds, jewelry, watches, coins, precious metals, and other luxury valuables with fairness, transparency, and top-tier service.
Key Responsibilities
  • Greet customers and provide a professional in-store experience.
  • Own the buying desk from greeting through closing.
  • Authenticate and appraise valuables under company procedures and training guidelines.
  • Negotiate and present written offers to customers.
  • Close transactions in the POS system.
  • Document and maintain accurate intake, handling, and transaction records.
  • Assist customers with buying and selling diamonds, jewelry, watches, coins, precious metals, and other luxury valuables.
  • Answer inbound phone calls, schedule appointments, take messages, and route inquiries.
  • Use a computer and CRM system (HubSpot preferred) to log notes, update records and status, and track leads and appointments.
  • Maintain clean showcases, organized work areas, and accurate records.
  • Support daily store operations and customer follow-up activities.
  • Attend off-site training sessions in the Houston area when scheduled.
Qualifications
  • Sales experience preferred, but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable negotiating face-to-face on price and terms.
  • Computer literate and comfortable using POS and CRM systems.
  • HubSpot experience preferred.
  • Responsible, disciplined, polished, and trustworthy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-value merchandise with care.
  • Fast learner with the ability to understand luxury products and buying processes.

  • Must be able to perform accurate basic math related to pricing, negotiations and transactions.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (I-9 required).
  • Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.
  • Must be bilingual and fluent in both English and Spanish.
Schedule & Pay
  • Full-time
  • Store hours: MonFri 10:00 AM6:00 PM, Sun 10:00 AM4:00 PM, Sat closed

  • Shifts include a paid, on-premises meal break taken inside the facility
  • Hourly, non-exempt: $12$20/hour
