Prelude is an early-stage biotechnology company founded by proven scientists in cancer drug development. At Prelude Therapeutics, the Research Scientist will play a key role in our mission to design and develop a pipeline of novel therapies for cancer patients, with a focus on small molecule drugs, targeted protein degraders, and conjugates including Degrader-Antibody Conjugates (DACs) and Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs). We are a team of science-driven and passionate scientists committed to innovative and efficient drug discovery activities within a collaborative and dynamic working environment. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and interactive individual with a background in cell/molecular biology, demonstrating versatility and a willingness to adapt and contribute across various stages of the drug discovery process. Prelude offers a vibrant and collegial work environment and excellent career growth opportunities. Prelude is ideally located within 25 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport at an emerging research campus at Chestnut Run Innovation & Science Park.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the potency and selectivity of new molecules in various functional and phenotypic cell-based assays.
  • Characterize new molecules through mechanism of action studies.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize assay systems to support the detection of cellular and tissue pharmacodynamic markers.
  • Conduct specific assays related to degraders, DACs, and ADCs, such as antibody internalization, target degradation, and payload release assays.
  • Maintain accurate records of experiments, analyze and interpret results, present summaries, and generate reports of the studies.
  • Contribute to project planning and strategy, ensuring timely progress and troubleshooting of experimental challenges.

Qualifications
