Job description

Responsibilities
Supervises all biomedical technicians, functions and activities within the assigned Piedmont Healthcare facility or facilities, including personnel management, regulatory compliance, customer service, and budget control. Ensures clinical equipment is repaired and maintained in the most cost effective manner and that it is accurate for clinical diagnosis. Responsible for EOC committee reports, surveys and inspections from JCAHO and other regulatory agencies. Assures strong customer service levels across department lines with good communication and relationships.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Associate's degree in biomedical engineering, electronics or a related field.
In lieu of degree, a total of four (4) years of experience will be accepted in addition to the experience requirement.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of experience required within the field as a Biomedical Engineering Technician and a minimum of three (3) years in a hospital setting.
In lieu of degree, a total of nine (9) years of experience is required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Supervisory experience recommended.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.
