Department:Information Technology

Under the general direction of the Audio-Visual Engineering Manager. The Audio-Visual Engineer is responsible for management of Information Technology (IT) collaboration platforms including, but not limited to, audio, visual, messaging and document sharing solutions. The Audio-Visual Engineer participates in delivering audio visual, video conferencing services to our clients, troubleshooting as necessary. This position requires the individual to demonstrate independent judgment and discretion since they are often present during confidential and/or sensitive meetings and events. The Audio-Visual Engineer is a team player, modeling collaborative teamwork, an environment of continuous learning and performance improvement. Position may also provide end-user training as needed on use of the video conferencing solutions from an end-user perspective.

  • Participates in defining requirements for audio visual and/or video collaboration events to include client requirements such as space, equipment, video conferencing objectives.
  • Administers and manages enterprise collaboration systems and solutions.
  • Manages audio-visual equipment and video conferencing solutions, performing routine maintenance and managing system updates and upgrades.
  • Works with clients to ensure proper functioning and configuration of video conferencing solutions in preparation for meetings and other live events. These meetings and events may be confidential in nature requiring discretion and strict adherence to treating such information as confidential.
  • Maintains and manages accurate record of equipment inventory, maintenance schedules and lifecycle management, including software updates.
  • Manages video conferencing solutions to ensure proper functioning of video conferencing solutions such as software and hardware.
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting and training on enterprise video conferencing and collaboration solutions, providing suggestions regarding future enhancements and needs.
  • Ensures that all updates or upgrades are appropriately integrated into existing video conferencing solutions.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the support teams to ensure continued operational readiness of existing systems and services, ensures resources are effectively utilized and all issues are handled appropriately.
  • Safeguards protected health information from any intentional or unintentional disclosure in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations.
  • Integrates security requirements and best practices into SVMHS IT operations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: A minimum of a High School diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.

Licensure: None.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience within audio-visual technologies required.

Pay Range: The hourly rate for this position is $38.42 - $48.03. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for this position.
