With every aircraft you touch, you'll help deliver the safety, performance, and experience that our clients expect.GENERAL SUMMARY:The Structures Technician is responsible for performing inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of airframe and structural systems, composites and components to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of business aircraft. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to regulatory standards. Working as part of a collaborative team, the Structures Technician ensures all work is completed to the highest quality, supports a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and contributes to delivering an exceptional experience for aircraft owners, operators, and passengers.PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:Project ownership of assigned structural projects from pre-planning to delivery of aircraftPerform structural repair and modifications tasks by utilizing approved structural repair techniquesInspect, service, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft-related structural systems and structure discrepanciesUnderstand and use approved compliance-appropriate technical data from authorized engineering sources, FAA approved documentation and original equipment aircraft manufacturers' maintenance & compliance documentation.Ensure the safety and security of customer equipment, parts, and aircraft during all structural repair and modification phasesAccurately read, interpret and apply aircraft blueprints/modification drawings, engineering orders, service bulletins and technical manuals to ensure compliance with regulatory and repair station requirementsEnsure correct parts ordering and maintenance manual documentation for assigned structural projectsSupport and document OJT manuals and processes Document all maintenance actions clearly and accurately, including test results, corrective actions, and traceability of all parts usedEnsure all work performed is within the scope of the project and inspected by an authorized repair station inspectorMaintain the security, calibration, and proper use of tools, equipment, and test devices in accordance with repair-station requirementsTop candidates will possess:High school diploma or GED2+ years related aviation experience specific to structural repair and modificationExperience working on and troubleshooting aircraft components and airframe systemsA&P certificate or willingness to obtain the certificateAbility to obtain and retain an airport AOA badgeKnowledge and understanding of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs requireWillingness to work on a team with both experienced technicians and mentor junior technicians with a calm demeanorAbility to communicate well in straightforward situationsOrganizational skills and attention to detailAbility to analyze and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to write reports, business correspondence, or procedural manualsExcellent mechanical aptitude and a desire to workOther requirements include: Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and in noisy environmentsAbility to occasionally travel for work assignmentsAbility to maintain a tool inventory in alignment with shop requirementsWHY JOIN ELLIOTT: At Elliott Aviation, you're not just joining a company, you are becoming part of a legacy built on service, craftsmanship, and trust.
