MUST HAVE 6 MONTHS of Industrial Maintenance EXPERIENCE within the last 12 months or verifiable schooling in a relevant industrial maintenance trade in lieu of experience documented within your applications work history and/or resume. Can be a combination of employers as long as it is within the past 12 months or your application will not be reviewed.

REHIRES ARE SUBJECT TO A 181 DAY WAIT PERIOD, determined from their last date of employment.

CANDIDATES THAT HAVE WORKED FOR TYSON FOODS OR TYSON AFFILIATES 3 OR MORE TIMES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR REHIRE.

Maintenance Generalist

Job Description Summary

The Maintenance Generalistis responsible forperforming preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.This position supports production in a fresh food manufacturing environment while maintaining compliance with Tyson policies, food safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore operations quickly

Complete corrective and emergency maintenance work as assigned

Perform equipment adjustments, part replacements, and repairs tomaintainoptimalperformance

Follow work orders and document maintenance activities accurately in the CMMS

Assistwith equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications

Conduct inspections toidentifypotential equipment failures, safety hazards, or maintenance needs

Work closely with Production and Sanitation to coordinate maintenance activities.

Support sanitation and startup processes following maintenance work

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition

Comply withall OSHA, USDA, food safety, and Tyson policies and procedures

Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO), PPE, and safe work practicesat all times

Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Competencies

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders

Basic computer skills and ability to use CMMS systems
