Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Fractional Healthcare Controller to provide part-time financial leadership and oversight for a growing multi-specialty neurology practice.

This is not a bookkeeping position. We are seeking a senior-level accounting and finance professional with substantial physician practice experience who can help guide financial strategy, reporting, budgeting, and operational decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Review and oversee financial statements and reporting
  • Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial pro formas
  • Analyze practice profitability and service line performance
  • Provide financial guidance to physician leadership
  • Review billing, collections, and revenue cycle performance
  • Assist with compensation modeling and growth initiatives
  • Evaluate new business opportunities, contracts, and hospital arrangements
  • Help establish financial controls, accountability, and reporting processes
  • Partner with administrative leadership and accounting staff
Qualifications/Requirements
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting and finance experience
  • Significant experience with physician practices, medical groups, or healthcare organizations
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Physician practice operations
    • Medical billing and collections
    • Revenue cycle management
    • Healthcare financial reporting
    • Budgeting and forecasting
    • Cash flow analysis
    • Provider compensation models
    • Contract and reimbursement analysis
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills required
  • Experience supporting privately owned medical groups preferred
