Job description

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid role; only local candidates will be eligible for consideration)

Pay Rate: $28.84-33.65 hourly

Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), pet insurance, PTO, long-term disability, short-term disability, FSA & HSA. eligible for medical, dental, vision and 401K (contract)

Overview:

Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support a short-term operational cleanup and ongoing A/R activities during a period of system and process transition. This role will focus on high-volume invoice processing, cash application, collections support, and customer communication. The ideal candidate is highly organized, system-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, partially manual environment while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.

This position will play a key role in getting invoices, collections, and payments back on track.

Responsibilities

  • Process high-volume accounts receivable invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash transactions and reconcile cash drawers as required
  • Perform customer outreach via portals, email, and phone to support collections and resolve invoice issues
  • Send customer statements and assist with scheduling payments as needed
  • Apply customer payments and assist with cash application activities
  • Support EDI processing by identifying errors and coordinating corrections with partners
  • Assist with A/R clean-up efforts, audit requests, and ad hoc projects

Qualifications

  • 2–5+ years of accounts receivable experience, including invoice processing and collections support
  • Strong experience working in ERP systems; NetSuite experience is highly preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working in data-heavy environments
  • Experience supporting EDI transactions and resolving related errors is a strong plus
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage high volume and shifting priorities
  • Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with external customers and partners
