Emergency Veterinary Care Center

Traverse City, MI

Full-time

Posted 21 days ago

Job description

Do you like traveling to different places, meeting and working with like-minded people in the veterinary industry, and hotel beds? Then we have the job for you!

Emergency Veterinary Care Centers (EVCC) is looking for an experienced Emergency Veterinarian to become our new Traveling Emergency Veterinarian! This one-of-a-kind position will serve as a full-time ER veterinarian and mentor, sharing your time across all our locations across Northern Indiana and Michigan.

As a Traveling Emergency Veterinarian with EVCC, your schedule will be planned in advance, deliver compassionate and accessible emergency care to pets in the communities that need it most and still receive the benefits of being a full-time employee!

Candidates must have experience as a traveling veterinarian OR a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and are confident performing common emergency surgeries.

Why EVCC?

Founded in 2003 by 36 local veterinarians who saw the need for emergency services in the Midwest, EVCC is different than the rest. Our mission was, and is always, about providing compassionate, accessible emergency care to pets in the communities that need it most.

Even now, after more than two decades, 25 of those founding veterinarians are still involved in our mission. Supported by a family that places community above everything else, we remain proudly independent—answering solely to the pets and people we serve.

When you join EVCC, you become part of more than just a network of hospitals; you step into a culture focused on trust, collaboration, and purpose. Here, you'll be surrounded by veterinary professionals who are as passionate about their work as you are. You'll have the chance to grow, to lead, and to be a part of something bigger than yourself.

Benefits & Support:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Healthcare benefits starting on day 1 of employment
  • Comprehensive vision and dental plans
  • 401k with 4% company match
  • Access to short-term and long-term disability + life insurance
  • Veterinary care discounts for your pets
  • Travel and lodging expenses covered
  • All necessary licensure fees covered by EVCC
  • Flexible scheduling to allow for the ultimate work-life balance
  • Relocation allowance
  • VIN and Plumb Pro memberships
  • Competitive CE allowance
  • And so much more!
