We're seeking an experienced, passionate, and hands-on General Manager to lead our 27-room boutique hotel and deliver an exceptional guest experience while partnering with the management company and on-site stakeholders to ensure the property operates seamlessly.
This is an exciting opportunity to build on the momentum of a newly opened property, inspire a high-performing team, and make a lasting impact on the guest experience, team culture, and financial success of the hotel.
What You'll Do
  • Lead all aspects of hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest service and operational excellence.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering Virtelle's Culture of Service.
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, expense management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Partner with sales, revenue management, accounting, maintenance, HR, and company leadership to achieve property goals.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards, company policies, and all applicable safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor guest feedback and online reputation, creating memorable experiences that build loyalty.
  • Build relationships within the Asheville community to strengthen the hotel's presence and create unique guest experiences.
  • Maintain a well-operated, welcoming property that guests and employees are proud to be part of.
What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of hotel leadership experience (General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience preferred).
  • Proven success leading, developing, and motivating hospitality teams.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and operational KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hotel property management systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel proficiency preferred).
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating exceptional experiences for guests and team members alike.
If you're an engaging leader who enjoys building great teams, delivering memorable guest experiences, and leading a unique boutique hotel in one of Asheville's most vibrant neighborhoods, we'd love to hear from you!
