Job description

JOB TITLE: Revenue Manager

DEPARTMENT: Hotel

STATUS: Full-Time

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for operations of hotel revenue by forecasting demand for Hotel products, making strategic pricing and availability recommendations to maximize enterprise profitability, and diagnosing business problems and proposing solutions to drive Hotel profits. The Revenue Manager is responsible for determing a competitive set for each Hotel.聽
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and provides assistance, training, and guidance to the Revenue Analysts

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing and yielding hotel room inventory, rates, and promotional offers
  • Building, automating, and updating recurring ad hoc reports聽
  • Managing and troubleshooting systems used to record and distribute hotel rates and availability to various sales channels
  • Analyzes booking pace and pickup to determine appropriate rate and availability changes聽
  • Communicates with marketing department to coordinate efforts and maximize profit聽
  • Build, automate, and maintain reports to assist operations, sales, and marketing teams with decision making聽
  • Maintains and approves revenue management calendars, and works closely with outside departments such as Hotel Managers, Sales, and Engineering to ensure optimal scheduling of various inventory-impacting projects
  • System expertise in RM systems including Rainmaker, TravelClick, SiteMinder, TravelTripper, Opera, etc.聽
  • Works with the casino and sales team to monitor and manage room blocks and ensures they are accurate, updated, and that cutoff deadlines are adhered to
  • Coordinate with the Sales team to set, manage, and audit long term rate and room inventory thresholds
  • Performs audits on all systems to ensure pricing, availability, promotions, policies, and room blocks are accurate, updated, and equivalent across various systems聽
  • Analysis of city events and activities projecting the effort of possible risks and opportunities
  • Maintains historical data on events and performance on any promotions during demand-generating events聽

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-3+ years experience in Revenue management or related field聽
  • High School Diploma required聽
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred聽
  • Must be at least 21+ years of age聽
  • Must be able to work any day of the week or shift including weekends and holidays聽
  • Understand and comply with all company, departmental, and Gaming Control Board rules and regulations, policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written and verbal form
